Zodiac Boat Tours - Cruise the Salish Sea from Powell River to Desolation Sound and Beyond

Explore the pristine waters and many marine parks of the Salish Sea aboard one of our two rigid hull inflatable Zodiacs. With two departure locations, Beach Gardens Resort Marina in Powell River and the Lund Harbour we offer a variety of half to full day trips ranging from 3 hours to 8 hours in length.

Our tours are known for offering thoughtful, immersive opportunites to observe, engage and learn about the marine wildlife, and our local, certified skippers also share their vast knowledge about the areas human history, from First Nations culture to European settlement. While each trip and season is different, the resident wildlife we may be fortunate to see can include eagles, harbour seals, a variety sea birds, sea lions, and visiting orca and humpback whales amongst a backdrop of stunning scenery.

Expect nothing and everthing is a gift.

About our Boats: Namu and Neptune

Terracentric has been running Zodiac Hurricane rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RHIB’s) since our beginnings in the late 1990’s.  Known for their seaworthiness and maneuverability, these boats feature a deep-V hull and inflatable collar which provide stability and shock absorption, making them perfect for comfortably navigating coastal waters.  Often used by Military, Coast guard and other on water professionals, our boats offer an intimate experience as they carry smaller groups, allowing for a more personalized and engaging tour. Their maneuverability allows for closer proximity to interesting land features and making our way through narrow or shallow waterways.

Unlike closed vessels, Zodiac’s offer an exhilarating and thrilling ride with the sensation of open-water travel. Our tours are characterized by frequent stops where we may idle or float and drift as we take in the sights and sounds around us.  Both boats are designed for comfort and safety and are equipped with features like forward facing cushioned bench seating, flotation jackets and guest binoculars, blankets, field guides and maps. Our vessels are designed to have the quietest sound footprint in the industry for the birds, whales and other marine mammals we view. The innovative Lean Burn Control System fuel technology in our engines delivers better fuel efficiency and greater fuel savings and the cleanest exhaust ratings.

The safety of both our vessels is certified by Transport Canada under the Small Vessel Compliance Program.

Our skippers are experienced guides, fully certified to operate the vessels in these waters and they love to share their knowledge and passion for the Coast with you.
